    Subject: Draft of Proposed CPS Legislation

    Based on the results of the evaluation of the Multiple Response System pilot as well as the input of interested stakeholders, the Department has developed the attached legislative proposal to revise Title 63.1, Chapter 12 (Child Abuse and Neglect) of the Code of Virginia. As a representative of an organization that will be impacted by these legislative changes to the CPS program, we are soliciting your comments on this proposal. Please review the attached proposed legislation and submit your comments and suggestions no later than Monday, August 30, 1999 to Nan McKenney. Thank you for your participation in this process.
